5G should reach the hands of farmers too: Mustafa Jabbar
The Prime Minister has directed me that the benefits of 5G should reach the hands of the farmers too. Technology must be spread to remote villages as well. There will also be 5G coverage in the economic zone. We are producing most of the smartphones, mobile phones, TVs, refrigerators in the country. This production will increase further in the future.
This was stated by Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar while addressing a discussion titled 'Rise of Technology: Bangabandhu in the Roots' organized by Bangladesh Computer Society on Monday.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, we have now transformed from an agricultural country to a digital Bangladesh. Bangabandhu has sown a seed that will never be lost. Now it has turned into a tree. The minister said that there will be a huge tree in the future.
Ekushey Medal winning journalist and heroic freedom fighter Ajay Dasgupta presented the keynote address at the discussion.
